I am a senior student at the Baku Engineering University (previously Qafqaz University). I am engaged in student affairs as a young professional in the National Assembly of Youth Organisations (NAYORA), the umbrella youth organization in Azerbaijan. Moreover, I am currently doing an internship at the United Nations Office of Azerbaijan. I also attended various trainings and events during my student years and am particularly interested in initiatives that integrate economic considerations within diplomacy and international relations. I took part in a winter school on the topic of “Sustainable Development Cooperation – Top Down, Bottom Up” approach. I am interested in gaining insight into the theoretical basis of development cooperation. I was part of the International Legal Research Group on Migration Law as a National Academic Coordinator. I am also part of Model United Nations community, which has showed me the complexity of international relations and politics.
I have recently graduated with an MSc in Development Studies at SOAS, University of London, I also have a background in International Relations (BA), which I previously studied ADA University in Azerbaijan. However, my first international experience was through an exchange programme at the University of Glasgow (the UK). As a Young European Ambassador since 2016, I have done internships at different organizations including the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Brussels, ADA University, Caucasus Research Resource Center Azerbaijan, and International Eurasia Press Fund. Currently, I am an intern at an NGO in London.

In this summer, I had a chance to intern at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Germany, where I became familiar with the essence of diplomacy by engaging with different sections of the embassy. Moreover, I am an Education Officer at Erasmus Student Network in Baku, where I help to share educational opportunities with Azerbaijani youth, thus building bridges between local and international students. Last year, I have also been chosen as a Youth Ambassador by the Azerbaijani umbrella youth organisation, NAYORA, in order to represent Azerbaijani youth at international and local events. Besides that, I have been part of different internships, conferences and events, where I developed my public speaking and networking skills. I am more than honored to have been chosen as a Young European Ambassador for…
I am an undergraduate student in business technologies at Azerbaijani State Oil and Industry University. Alongside my studies, I have also been working in different positions, for instance at the Fairmont Raffles International Hotel, which has given me the opportunity to broaden my professional knowledge in an international environment. Moreover, I have acquired study abroad experience at the University of Leicester in the UK through an Erasmus+ grant. I am a student member of the Operational Research Society based in UK.
I first discovered the beauty of diversity during my exchange year in the US with the FLEX program. That’s when I saw that we are #StrongerTogether. This passion got only bigger and bigger when I joined the YEA initiative and it led me to study International Relations at Eötvös Loránd University in Hungary, where I still continue sharing Georgian values and acquiring European customs. Keeping all of this in mind, exchanging culture, values and ideas will be my priority as a YEA.
I´m an undergraduate at the Belorussian State University, specialising in World Economy and focusing on monetary policy. I got deeper acquainted with the EU, its institutions and their important functions thanks to the successful accomplishment of the course "Educate yourself on Europe" in 2018. I spent last semester in Germany with the ERASMUS+ programme, during which I learned a lot about the academic and professional opportunities for young people. I try to dedicate my free time to volunteer activities and art. This year I´ve joined AIESEC as a manager in the department of outgoing exchanges. I´m proud to become a Young European Ambassador in order to share the European values in my country, to solve the current challenges and to find co-thinkers!
I am studying for a master's degree in English Literature at the Belarusian State University. My area of study is postcolonial literature in English, specifically mythopoetic novels of English-speaking Nigerian writer Ben Okri. During my studies, I participated in academic conferences and won the 1st category in XXV Republican Contest for Students' Scientific Works 2018. At the beginning of the 3rd year, I became a student teaching assistant to my supervisor, Associate Professor, Ph.D. of philology Hanna Butyrchyk. Last year I had the honour of working alongside my teachers as a teacher-intern. I always want to learn more so I am constantly interested in educational workshops and programs. I participated in “The School of a Young Writer” which is based on The Belarusian Writers’ Union (Minsk), The Movement For Freedom’s (MFF) Summer School ‘The European Choice’ (Hrodna-Bialystok) and multiple seminars and lectures on human rights, feminism, gender, and equality.
Since childhood , I have been told that every voice is powerful , that's why our responsibility is to use this voice in the right way. My goal is to be informed and to inform others in order to solve a lot of social problems, and build a stronger society . I'm down for everything that can make our world a better place and I'm not planning to stop developing myself as a conscious citizen . I believe that by participating at volunteering projects, everyone can become a game-changer for their community because social involvement of young people makes differences.
I believe in the power of things done with professionalism, kindness, and a tiny bit of love. Since 2017, I started challenging myself to do, with the greatest passion, the activities that felt right for me. This is how I was gaining experience as a volunteer for the Youth.md media platform and a local radio station, as well as by working in the 'Chișinău for European Youth Capital 2020/2021' team. It is a blessing to learn the creative thinking and active citizenship values by being a delegate, then a staff member of the Wave Week Moldova Program. All these 'aha' moments truly shaped my European identity. Human rights, diplomacy, social sciences, peace building- my fields of interest are deeply reflected in the core EU values. That is why, I have the trust that, as a part of the YEAs from the Republic of Moldova team, we are going to do amazing things, because we are always stronger together.
I was born to Romanian parents, but raised in Canada. I do not consider myself fully Romanian, nor fully Canadian. This duality that I have experienced allows me to contrast different perspectives, and thus gives me a unique outlook on both events and people. I have learned not to be quick to judge, and that appearances can often be deceiving. Since my return to Romania, I have strived to do my very best to be an active citizen and to learn more about European values, as well as what I can do to take them further, or even to try and bring them to places where people do not know about them. I am currently studying Finance at the Academy for Economic Studies (ASE) in Bucharest, and international relations take a very active role in my studies. I hope to be able to learn and grow with those around me, and to try to bring a better tomorrow through shared knowledge and understanding.
I have recently completed my MA degree in Conflict, Security and Development at King's College London and I did my undergraduate degree in Politics and International Relations at the University of Reading, UK. Currently, I am undertaking an internship in the Defence and Security programme of Transparency International. Previous experiences included internships at the UNDP as well as the Embassy of Moldova to the UK. In 2017, I was a Research Support Assistant at the University of Reading (UK), where I provided support for a project whose aim was to explore voting motivations in the 2016 US Presidential Elections. During my undergraduate degree, I have spent a semester at Uppsala University, Sweden as part of the Erasmus programme. Since 2016, I have been actively involved in organising the largest conference simulating European politics worldwide, Model European Union Strasbourg, being a Content Officer. I was a Course Representative for my undergraduate degree for two consecutive…
My bachelor specialty is Ecologist and I was selected for the Master's degree at International Space University (ISU) in 2020. This is an honour for me and a great milestone in my life. Additionally, I participated and organised many social activities, where I was a volunteer. I was selected as the Best Active Volunteer in the ASAN service (2016). I taught STEM at American Centres in Baku and Azerbaijan regions in 2017-2018. I have selected to exchange program between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2018. Currently, I am an active scout at the Association of Scouts of Azerbaijan (ASA). Also, I have 2 start-ups, one of them is related to alternative energy and my second start-up about recycling. I suppose, I can motivate people to be sensitive to nature and love science.
What would I do if I could make a wish? I would destroy socially disadvantaged environments to give people an opportunity for development. There are no miracles, but I continue struggling. YEAs mobilise communities for change and I am ready to change the environment. I have recently graduated from Minsk State Linguistic University. My specialisation was intercultural communication. I learnt a lot about democracy, political and social institutes at the university. My long -term goal is to make my country great and to realise the policy of social equity in Belarus. I am sure we can do it through collaboration with the EU because the European policy and social standards have stood the test of time. Moreover, The EU experience can help us to develop relations with government structures to overcome social problems. Another important point is the fact that the youth are not interested in changes because young people are often excluded as social and political candidates. YEAs will…
Born in Ukraine and educated in Tbilisi at the New School International School as part of the EaP initiative has contributed to my interest in promoting EU values both in my home country and abroad. Being an IB Diploma student has prompted me to approach my deeds from a global perspective, which has ultimately brought me to becoming a YEA. My participation in such international conferences as Model United Nations (ZaMUN'18, ToMUN'18, KarMUN'19) and European Youth Parliament (Kutaisi'19, 1st Digital Session'20, Digital Health Forum'20, IT Georgia'20) has contributed to the enthusiasm that drives my further endeavours. In particular, my interests comprise sustainable development with regards to the environmental movement, establishment and promotion of quality education and elimination of inequalities among citizens internationally.

The academic background in art and culture, history, and philosophy has heightened my awareness and understanding of diversity. Attending courses dealing with theories of human rights, the issue of migration in the age of globalisation, social movements, and global governance, together with the involvement in the non-governmental sector and non-formal education within a European framework, acted as a catalyst in the process of acknowledging that an equitable future for our global village and its citizens depends on cooperation, dialogue, and inclusion. The Erasmus+ mobilities in several countries, along with being a Former European Fellow on Project Management, a Former European Fellow on Youth Leadership, and the Communication Responsible for the European Digital Youth Summit 2018, revealed and reinforced something I intuitively knew: that I identify myself as a global citizen.
I am a Law student at Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University. I am passionate about social activism and volunteering. Since 2017 I have visited dozens of projects and lectures from different organizations such as the Peace Corps, American Councils, etc. Over the past couple of years, I have been working in the field of project management. I co-founded a Youth Non-Governmental Organization PLUS, with which we are creating non-formal educational projects for youth. I aim to be a future changemaker and to make a contribution to my society in every way possible.
Raised in a society that faces lots of problems such as global warming, political issues, corruption and discrimination, I was helped by my family and school to set a goal for myself: social activism. I am firmly convinced that a healthy and wealthy society is based on people who are well informed, have high moral values and care about the community they live in. This is why, since I’ve started to participate in and organise different volunteering activities, I’ve tried to develop my leadership skills, critical thinking and many other abilities that contribute to a strong personality. Furthermore, I am sure that by involving myself in many educational youth activities, I can gain knowledge, interact with open-minded people and get inspired to empower others to bring about change.
I am a young researcher at the Yerevan State University. This year I have graduated from the Democracy Study Center at GPUS which has had a big influence on my career path. Since graduating from my Master's degree from the Centre for European Studies at the Yerevan State University, I have been deeply interested in EU-Armenia relations, human rights, EU migration policies, democracy-building processes in the EaP region and national minority issues. I have worked at the Economic Research and Development Support Centre NGO, GIZ Armenia and I have been a facilitator/tutor during different events on human rights (national minority rights, women' rights, children' rights) organised in Armenia. Currently I am researching the 'Early Marriages among National Minorities in Armenia. Their Socio-Economic Consequences'. I am striving for shaping a society where every person lives equally without discrimination.
When I first volunteered, I mainly used it as an opportunity to hang out with my friends. The second time was also mostly influenced by my peers, but it helped me realise that I actually enjoy giving to the community that I live in, therefore making me more socially aware. Afterwards I started getting interested in issues like gender discrimination, homophobia, global warming and climate change. I am still young and I haven’t really had the chance to ‘conquer’ the world yet. But I believe that, given the opportunity, I will do everything in my power to bring about change.
I have recently graduated from Baku Engineering University with an honours degree in English Language and Literature Teaching and became 'the top graduate of the country' with the highest GPA. I am currently a student, ambitious and eager to take on new challenges. That's why I've always tried participating in different projects, that further helped me develope my communication skills. For instance in 2018, I was a volunteer at the "Millenium Film Festival" brought by United Nations Moldova and OWH studio. I was part of the organizing team at "Rock n Haret", a rock festival that has been going on for 6 years now, and we managed to gather 2000 people. I find myself focused on the fields of humanities : law, politics, philosophy and also very fascinated about the fundamental values of European Union, the reason why I took part in 2018 at the IPRE Autumn School 3rd edition "Europeanisation beyond process" and in 2019 at " Model European Parliament" organized by Interact Chișinău, a Rotary Sponsored Club.
Since I was in high school, the cultural and linguistic diversity of Europe has made me interested in travelling, learning languages and discovering different cultures. I am studying International Business at the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM) and as a student, I have been substantially involved in volunteering activities, international conferences, debate clubs and internships. I am also a member of YEP Moldova – an entrepreneurship non-governmental organisation. The opportunity to become a YEA inspires me to share experiences, knowledge and youth opportunities related to the EU and the Eastern Partnership. I’m open to changes, innovations and interaction, and I am sure that students deserve to be informed about EU culture, values and principles. I am ready to take on the responsibility of providing them with this information and to become a part of something great.
I recently completed my Master’s degree at the College of Europe in Bruges where I specialized in the EU’s External Relations and European Neighborhood Policy. I wrote my MA thesis on the EU’s democracy-promotion efforts in Georgia under the EaP initiative. I also hold a BA from the American University in Bulgaria and Sciences Po Bordeaux. I have acquired professional experience at the GUAM Organization for Democracy and the Ministry of Euro and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Georgia. I am fortunate to have lived and studied around the world. These experiences have shaped me into an open-minded individual. I have first-hand benefitted from the EU and thus consider myself a strong EU enthusiast who wishes to share her passion for the EU with others both in Georgia and in the region.
I am a teenager who is always looking for new knowledge and experiences. I started volunteering because I am convinced that young people have to get involved in the development of their community. My whole volunteering experience is about trying to make my voice heard, expressing my point of view on social issues and attempting to solve social issues. I engage in different projects and volunteer at different organisations. I have experience in project writing, event planning and participation in events aimed at promoting multiculturalism, diversity and tolerance among youth. Currently I am working on the project ‘Initiative Group for Promoting Peace in Eastern Europe and Caucasus’, which aims to promote peaceful values among the young generation.
I started volunteering about two years ago at the National Youth Council of Moldova and since then my life has changed immensely. Volunteering gave me the opportunity to represent the Republic of Moldova in multiple international projects and exchanges. One of these was ‘International Youth Studies: Curricula distance learning and open education materials (InYouS)’, a capacity-building project developed by the Federation of Youth Clubs of Armenia and its European partners. Other than that, I volunteered at several festivals such as the Youth Festival and Good Deeds Day. By being a volunteer, I strive to be the engine that will empower others to change the world for the better.
Presently I am studying International Relations at Karazin Kharkiv National University. In October 2019 I took part in the Erasmus+ project “We are the Peacemakers!”. In June 2020 as a teacher I participated in the World’s Largest Lesson, organized by AIESEC in the partnership with UNICEF. Besides, I am blogger for Kharkiv EDU Cluster.
All my life I am connected to art, especially painting. I love learning foreign languages, currently I am fluent in English and German, also learn Spanish.
Volunteering. Organising events. Giving speeches. Conducting projects. All these experiences I had in my life showed me the how significant respectful communication is for effective cooperation. I'm convinced that kind and respectful approach to everyone is key to solve such problems as climate change and animal's exploitation qualitative and that's the value I want to share with the whole world. My desperate wish is to be useful, to make some difference in people's and animals' lives, and being a part of YEAs community is a great oppotunity for me to make it happen.
I am currently studying for a MA degree in Political Communication at the Heinrich Heine University (HHU) in Düsseldorf. I earned my bachelor's degree in Communication Studies and Political Science at the Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) in Munich. Having attended various academic forums and participated in student exchange programmes with a focus on European integration and policy-making, I am looking forward to applying my personal experience and professional expertise in the YEA framework.
In elementary school I began to be interested in various projects related to environmental protection and ecology. Throughout my studies at school, I was able to participate in many republican and international projects, including the Ecos environmental contest, Republican business conferences and the UNVS video conference in Chennai, India. I began my university career at the Faculty of Management at Kozminsky University. From the first year, I took part in the project of young university ambassadors and the mentoring programme for international students. I spent one year on an exchange in Madrid, Spain, studying in CUNEF and playing for the Madrid Tennis Federation. Thanks to the sport, I managed to go on a scholarship to Boston, USA, and play for the university team as well. It is essential for me that the rights of all people and their equal opportunities are respected.
I want to become a human rights defender. At present, I am a National Junior Representative of CISV Georgia, from where I travel to a lot on workshops and youth meetings. I have a lot of friends from different countries and I love them a lot! I am a volunteer at Wex International. Being a Young European Ambasador is a huge responsibility since becoming a part of the EU family means a lot for my country and I believe I can contribute to this process, not least by meeting very interesting people and forging strong connections with different communities. I believe that one day we will become a member of the EU and fully understand Eurpean values.
I have specialized in International and European Law at Yerevan State University and the University of Bologna, as an Erasmus+ exchange student. I have graduated from the Estonian School of Diplomacy, where I was studying International Relations and Euro-Integration. I have experience in the NGO sector, as a volunteer and a trainer. I have been working as a civil servant at the Ministry of Justice and the National Assembly of Armenia, and at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for a short period of time. Currently I hold the position of the Project Associate at Freedom House.
I think the best way I can describe myself is that I have the ability to see beauty in absolutely anything, even in the things you least expect. Throughout my entire life I have had many conflicting passions, such as medicine and painting or cinematography and astronomy, but recently I have realized that all of them are interconnected in the same way as we are. Therefore, my goal is to create harmony both in my passions and in the world. I have already had multiple attempts to do this in the volunteers I was part of, for example I started as an active volunteer in the ecological field, I participated in many environmental strikes and collected plastic to be reused for good purposes. Then I discovered that I like people. People of all kinds, especially people with a passion for art and movies. Thus, I volunteered at many film and animation festivals where I had the opportunity to develop both socially and artistically. I'm dedicating practically my whole life to learning, and I…
I am a young professional, currently working in the consulting sector. Recently I received a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Banking. Since 2017 I’ve been participating in a large number of volunteering and educational projects in Belarus and abroad, notably in the European Youth Parliament. Apart from that, I’m a participant of local non-governmental organisations which promote youth initiatives and participation in civic engagements. I’m highly interested in further promotion of the possibilities (including provided by EU) for youth, especially in the sectors of entrepreneurship, fundraising and idea implementation.
I am obsessed with cultural studies and art. I work in an art agency, also volunteer for the Ukraïner project, translating stories about my homeland and people in English and also helping with German version. I truly believe that young people can become a game-changer for their community and together we can make our world a better place.
I'm studying Journalism at Yerevan State University. I have experience in multimedia journalism, data journalism and also in fact-checking. So, I guess it is the reason that I'm now trying to check anything I read. I started to write for youth magazines when I was 15 years old. Right after that, I decided to become an active citizen, to make changes inside and around me. And for me, volunteering is always the best choice for making changes like that.
I completed my Master studies in the College of Europe in Natolin a month ago and just returned to Armenia. I am preparing to establish my own NGO.

I am masters student in European Studies with a background in History (BA, graduated in Lviv, Ukraine). I currently live in Berlin, Germany. Within the YEA network, I have been active since 2016 and have been involved in several activities on EU topics. I am interested in international relations and business, as well as in youth work, policy and communications. My work experience is strongly related to international European communication and cooperation.
I have a wide range of interests and want to improve my personality in different areas. This year I am going to study International Economics in Kharkiv. During my school life, I was participating in Olympiads, creative competitions and other activities. I also joined AIESEC in Poltava when I was 17 years old and began to volunteer in an ecological organisation in my city. It was a great experience for me and was the first step in my active future. As a member of the Friday For Future movement, I have taken part in a big European summit, 'SMILE', in Switzerland 2019. This trip has broadened my horizons and helped me to understand that there are actually no borders on the earth. The most important thing in life is to have a straight and active social position and always look for opportunities, or create them!
Except being a current high school student, one more specific position which defines my identity is that, I have been a Social Activist and Young Feminist. Last Year I was chosen as a Leader of School Self-Government Institution. In 2019 I volunteered for Erasmus+ Exchange Program in Ukraine. I was a CEO of a company within "Boleslawowo Business Week 2019"- in Poland and a Plant Manager in "Virtual Washington Business Week 2020". I still connect my future with active and dynamical lifestyle. I do not want my name to be written only on my ID card. I have a burning desire to create something valuable and important which will make me alive forever. I have an aspiration to create a biography of a successful woman one day.
I am someone who could never answer the question "who do you want to be" when you grow older. Art and international activities are my two passions. I spent my entire childhood competing in vocal and dance contests, which also cultivated my need to perform as a leader at school and in life. I accumulated many art awards, became the semi-finalist of the Junior Eurovision contest and finished my professional art career. Devoting myself to leadership was a choice. I entered the Institute of International Relations to study 'International communication'. Whilst pursuing intensive study, I was also Head of the Initiatives Department and organized workshops, events as well as actions with the UN, Amnesty International, AIESEC and NATO. I have been devoting my soul to art and singing at events in the evenings. In 2016, I entered the School of International Journalism and became an international journalist at Guildhall. I surveyed Russian disinformation in Canada, made YouTube programmes…
I am a student, willing to study Political Science at university. I am the president of the National Council of Youth and Children in Rivne region, a member of the Youth Council of Ostroh and an alumni of the Klitschko Foundation.
Reflection on my experience, I realize that organising projects for young people about developing their soft skills and raising awareness about the importance of being eco-friendly is what I want to devote myself to. Making new friends, growing individually and becoming stronger together are one of the reasons why I have so much inspiration for joining this amazing initiative!
My name is Anna, and I have had a privilege to study and live in Poland, Belgium and China within Erasmus Mundus Global Studies program with a full scholarship awarded by the European Union. In the scope of this degree program, I have had an exceptional opportunity to firsthand experience how European political systems work and to gain deep insights on the current political developments of these countries. If given a chance, I would like to contribute my knowledge and experience.
Anna Sophie Elektra Zech
Having spent the past years studying in various countries in Europe, I have benefited greatly from the EU and learned a lot about other cultures and my own. I therefore believe intercultural awareness to be a key skill for anyone to in today’s society and would like to promote and expand on it via this initiative.
Beyond this, I want to be an advocate for the emancipation of young voters, especially in sight of the upcoming European elections. Being of German heritage, I treasure the EU not just for its single market and free movement, but more than anything for creating a peaceful union of peoples. In order to preserve this for future generations, it is crucial that we, especially the younger generations, all get involved by voting, promoting its values and working together actively on its progress.
I am a hardworking and creative individual with a passion for the hospitality industry. I am a 4th-year student at the Belarusian State University majoring in sociology. I write about youth, crime and drug consumption. The reason I have chosen to specialise in this field is that since I was a child, I've always wondered how different socio-cultural, politial and economic phenomena work at the grassroots level in different societies. In order to learn more about these, I participated in the OSCE Youth Conference "Working with Youth for Youth: Strengthening Cooperation Online", held in Malaga, Spain. I also participated at the launch event of the new institutional arrangement of the Eastern Partnership in Brussels last May and the CORLEAP meeting in Kiev. I am involved in the YEAs' initiative for the 2nd year and it's a great pleasure for me to be a part of it, as it allows me to learn new things, exchange experience and gain skills. The most important thing I've learned is how to have a great social impact in my local community and make peoples' lives better.
Currently I am an International Relations master's degree student of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Moreover, I am an intern in the United Nations Development Programme in Ukraine, which is a great opportunity for my professional development. International relations, multilateral diplomacy and foreign languages are my main areas of interest. I can characterise myself as motivated, positive and open-minded. In each society young people should be involved in social activities, it’s important to become a responsible and well-educated citizen. This is why, doing volunteer work for almost 5 years , helped me understand that my voice is powerful, and each of us can be heard if we are trying to do the right thing. In fact, participating in the EaP Summer Camp in Georgia 2020, discussing about issues such as human rights, discrimination, equality, motivated me to take action, to make a change. I truly believe that my country can become a better place and we can reach greater results by working together.
Mafalda de Pina Afonso Jorge
I am currently studying Medicine at the University of Lisbon. In the Summer of 2017, I worked with an NGO in India, and it was a life changing experience for me. It made me want to be a human rights activist and to volunteer as a doctor abroad, improving the health conditions in other countries. This year (2018-1019) I was an Erasmus Student for a year at the University of Köln (Germany). This put me in touch with students from all over Europe, and we shared a lot about our countries and learned about our differences. It was also an important year for gaining awareness about the global climate change and to learn more sustainable and ecological solutions. My experiences abroad made me realise how important it is to share points of view and experiences with people from all over the world and how much we can actually learn from each other.
Mafalda is a Portuguese Master’s student in International Studies at ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon, with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from Nova University of Lisbon. She is currently developing her Master’s dissertation about the EU’s Eastern Partnership, and is very interested in EU foreign policy, theory of International Relations, democracy and electoral studies, and political communication. She is a volunteer at the Leo Club Program, a youth charity association, since 2014, currently holding the position of International Liaison Officer (2020/2021), representing Portugal in the ILO Council of European and Mediterranean Leos, in which she is also a board member. For the year of 2020/2021, Mafalda is the European Student Think Tank Ambassador to Lisbon, an international NGO that aims at empowering young people to participate in European Union matters. As a young EU citizen, I am highly interested in the EU’s relations with our Eastern Neighbours, and I want to commit myself to deepening existing cooperation networks. I am convinced that the youth has a key role to play in this regard, which is why I am pleased to volunteer as a Young European Ambassador. European affairs are at the core of my academic background, as I recently graduated from the College of Europe, where I had the chance to study the European Neighbourhood Policy. It was, above all, a great opportunity to make friends with other young people from the Eastern Neighbourhood and to share our concerns and experiences. I am very proud to join the Young European Ambassador initiative, and I will do my best to contribute to enhancing wider understanding of the EU and fostering dialogue with the Eastern Partner countries.
I am a sophomore at Yerevan State University (YSU) at the Faculty of International Relations, so I am a future diplomat and, hopefully, ambassador and will be honored to represent Armenia in other countries and international platforms. As such, being a Young European Ambassador is a responsible and important position for me and I am very grateful to the European Union for this opportunity. About a year ago, when I first heard about the Young European Ambassadors initiative, it seemed like an uninaccessible dream for me․ but when I was given the opportunity to complete their membership application, I did it, though I didn't hope to pass through, but here I am. So never be scared to take a step closer to your dreams, just do it. And a little bit about me: I have been the President of the Pupil Council at my high school for four years. I graduated from school with a Gold Medal of Excellence. I have participated in numerous competitions, events, international and national programmes. I…

I am currently a bachelor's student of political science at the Freie Universität Berlin in Germany. In my studies, I mainly focus on International Relations and Political Economy. I've volunteered as a supervisor in youth camps since 2015. Now, I am providing my own workshops on improvisation for teachers, youth workers and youth. I strongly believe that improvisational methods can help to foster sustainable links between young European people and their neighbours!
Currently I pursue my Bachelor in International Relations at Russian-Armenian University in Yerevan, Armenia. The opportunity of joining Young European Ambassadors inspires me and I'm looking forward to meeting enthusiastic young people, contributing to YEA's mission and gaining new experience.

Europe gave me a vision, while Moldova gave me the motivation, strength and resources to achieve it. At the age of 12, the NGO “Honor, Dignity and Homeland” introduced me to the importance of being an active citizen. Consequently, as vice-president of SpeakUp! Moldova, I became a fighter for human rights. I then learned to share my visions, debate my stance, and developed my critical thinking by being a Youth Media Centre reporter and founder of the debate club “Orator”. However, the most significant is my role of leader and youth-worker, because I can further share the gained knowledge to the young.
Pursuing my studies in England as an HMC scholar and holding on to my experiences of active social involvement, I realized that the world is already changing and I want to be on the ride, helping bring about optimization. Born in Moldova, the place that taught me there are still plenty of people and ideas to fight for. More than five years of selfless work were rewarded with achievements and experiences such as radio presenting, founding social care and ecological projects, leading an intellectual games team, becoming the Vice-President of the School Senate and many more. One example is the summer school Wave Week, where I developed a project for foster homes and later managed to become a staff member on the project. I learned flexibility and networking at Erasmus+ in Denmark, at the Pestalozzi Exchange in Switzerland and through debating and negotiating at International MUN conferences. During my IB Diploma on the Isle of Man, I was a House Prefect and the Head Boy, representing my house and the student body on many occasions. Due to the threats both from the outside and from within, I know that European countries must keep strong connections and open minds; with me involved, there is one…

I study International Relations at TSU. In 2019 I performed an Erasmus+ study mobility at the University of Iași and during the upcoming semester I will be studying at Wszechnica Polska University in Warsaw. I have done an internship at the Embassy of Bulgaria, I have been the member of ‘’Youth Voices Georgia’’ at World Bank, I have been a counselor at GLOW as well. Being a YEA is a great responsibility for me and it gives me the opportunity to work with my peers and contribute a bit in bringing the EU closer to the people in Georgia.
I graduated from school with a gold medal and after that continued my studies at Tbilisi State University as an International Relations student. Major successes that played a role in defining my life included two Erasmus+ long-term exchange programs in Romania and Germany. In addition, I always tried to participate in different projects and represent Georgia abroad like in Germany, Armenia, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Hungary, etc. Some more recent achievements include being selected as one of 24 students (from 524 participants) at the Youth Debate for G4G reforms, financed by USAID. Currently I am Program Officer at HR Professionals' Association and contributing the development of HR field in Georgia.
I am a fourth year student of international relations. Academically, I am very interested in conflict studies and conflict transformation mechanisms. additionally, I believe young people have most of the power in the country which can play a huge role in growing democratic processes for the better future. Therefore, I am trying hard to be an active citizen. For two years time I have been volunteering in two local NGOs and working with the children affected by the war of 2008 in Georgia. I am currently a representative of two international organisations in my country and conducting different activities concerning SDG goals. Other than civil activism, I am a mountain climbing lover. Planning to climb up to Mkinvartsveri (5050m above sea level) by summer 2020.
I recently completed my Bachelor’s degree at the Ilia State University where I specialized in the International Relations with Dutch language. I am also an alumna of the Open World programme and travelled to the US as part of the project in 2016. I believe I am a game changer.

I am a fourth-year student of Belarusian Trade and Economics University. My field of study is Logistics. Two years ago, I participated in an Erasmus Mundus programme at the Tomas Bâta university in Zlin, Czech Republic. I have experience in managing student organisations and projects in the international field.

I gained some experience in intercultural dialogue in a learning environment when I took part in the Erasmus+ programme in France.
Projects for youth and exchanges for young people inspire me and make me happy. Sharing experiences and working for global changes with peers from different countries and with different perspectives allows us to influence communities based on the needs of society. I participated in a cultural exchange between Ukrainian and Polish teens and during the experience, I realised that I could contribute to the development of my country. I then started learning more and taking more of an active role in civil society. I’m now a representative of the European Youth Community in my hometown Dnipro, an alumnus of the Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) Programme and a volunteer on projects relating to society. I am also continuing my studies at Leysin American School in Switzerland.
I am a Senior student at Azerbaijan Architecture and Construction University, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in “Organization and Management of Industry” major. I was always interested in social and leadership projects, where I could develop my personal skills and improve the world around us. So my interests led me to AIESEC, where I volunteered as the Talent and Operations Manager for two years. Currently, I am a member of the Global Shapers Community, the World Economic Forum initiative. Being a Young European Ambassador enables me to connect with young people from the European Union, discuss matters of direct concern to young people, and work together for a better future.
Starting from fall 2017, consciously and subconsciously, I have been spreading values that we can call European. Examples of these values are equality, justice, diversity, and protection of the human rights of different groups of society. At that time, I did not think whether that values are European or not; they just felt right for me. After attending training courses and self-educating myself on different European Union topics, I found that I agree on everything that the Union stands for. Being a Young European Ambassador will give me the platform and opportunity to spread these values not only in my close group of friends but also to share it with much bigger groups.
Because these days we are stuck at home and the possibility of organizing an offline event is far from reality, I would suggest hosting webinars and workshops where young people can learn about strategies and steps European Union takes to maintain the right to education.
I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Yerevan State University. Now I am studying Human Rights and Democratization at the same university. I am currently working both at “Yezidi Center for Human Rights” NGO as a Communication coordinator and at “Union of Informed Citizens” as a media monitoring specialist and researcher. Besides, I am volunteering at “HUJ” youth NGO. I am interested in human rights, public policy and international development. I believe that being a Young European Ambassador enables me to make changes around me.
Originally from Bulgaria, I am currently living and studying in Belgium. A bachelor in European studies, I have a profound understanding of the EU’s internal dynamics and external policies that help me convey the importance of European values to other young people across the globe. Additionally, I volunteer in youth NGOs that aim to foster youth cooperation by creating a blueprint for youth participation in EU decision-making process. I now pursue my Master’s degree in Belgium and focus on the EU’s external environmental action. As a Young European Ambassador, I would like to strengthen the cooperation between the European youth and young people from the Eastern Neighbourhood by creating sustainable initiatives.
I am from Georgia and I am currently pursuing a BA in International Relations at the Free University of Tbilisi. My particular focus is ‘EuroAtlantic’, which means that I am not only interested in EU institutions, but also the culture and so I am in the process of learning French and Spanish. Being a YEA is a valuable opportunity and chance to help democracy go viral. As my beloved Pink Floyd said, ‘Together we stand, divided we fall’. Or, more recently, #strongertogether.
I have taken part in 4 Erasmus+ youth exchanges. These experiences have helped and motivated me to engage in many other activities on local and international levels. I have been an organizer and proposal writer for several non-profit projects, including "European View in our Objective", which received 1500 Lari in funding from Tbilisi city hall. I was also a head organizer of "SOS", a collaborative project with "Children's Village Tbilisi" and "Technopark Tbilisi".
I'm Soso Chikhladze, FLEX alumnus, Young European Ambassador, member of the "Bridge the Divide"movement and staff member at the Best Western in Kutaisi. As a senior high school exchange student in the US, I graduated from Fremont High School in Michigan, and because I was not ready to take university exams, I decided to take a gap year. On top of all that, I won the FLEX-ability workshop scholarship, went to Lithuania and in the following months I with the help of my group, will be doing an "opportunity fair" for the IDP settlement in Tserovani, through which, we will aim to empower IDPs throughout Georgia and raise awareness about youth opportinities in Georgia.
The EU provides extensive opportunities for Ukraine. As a YEA, I would like to disseminate this information to the wider public.

I strongly believe that informal education plays a huge role in developing unique critical thinking, which is necessary for becoming a good professional and a good person. It helps you to develop a positive attitude towards many things, become more tolerant and gain new skills. Good networking is very important in the modern world. Being a YEA is a big challenge for me, as well as a fascinating opportunity…

Finite resources for unlimited wants is not a problem Moldovans face; we always know how to change the world around us even when it seems there's no way of doing it. I learned that while holding various civic positions in the Republic, acting as the representative of the capital city in the National Student Council, Secretary-General of the National Association of Academic Debates and Parliamentary assistant. I know that to do this, I must be willing to stay committed to my goals in doing what’s “right” (as opposed to what’s easy) at a higher level of commitment than ever before.

This long-term stay in an EU Member State affected me a lot, enhanced the development of my international relations skills, and helped to learn about the EU’s activities. Since then, I have had a desire to more actively participate in the EU’s initiatives and promote the information about them to other young people, inspiring me to become a Young European Ambassador (YEA). Apart from this, my current job at a design organization helps create interest in environmental issues that are of high priority for the European Institutions. I hope that as a YEA, I will be able to find like-minded people, with whom to share and implement such ideas.
I currently work as a programme assistant at the Minsk Dialogue Council on International Relations. One of my professional responsibilities is the recruitment and coordination of volunteers, which gives me an amazing opportunity to network with a large number of highly motivated, talented young people, and helps me to improve my interpersonal skills. I have recently completed my master's degree in World Economy at Belarusian State University. During my undergraduate studies, I spent a year studying business management at Hochshule Mitweida in Germany as part of the Erasmus+ programme. In terms of my interests, my research mostly focuses on EU-Belarusian and German-Belarusian relations. I am also a member of the KAS-Martens Centre Discussion Club and a University Summer Course Grant scholar from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
I am currently a student majoring in International Relations at Yerevan State University. The areas of interest for me are the European Union (particularly its CFSP, EU law) and the Middle East. When it comes to my volunteering experience, I volunteered in different NGOs (“Civil Solidarity”, Red Cross Armenia), and public events (WCIT, YSU-100, China-Eurasia conference, etc). I’m very curious about environmental issues such as climate change, extreme meteorological phenomena, and waste management. I used to be a member of “Natural Environment and I” program by the Acopian center for the environment.
I am currently involved in the establishment of the first and only Ukrainian Transatlantic Platform and am actively engaged as a second-year YEA in the 'EU NEIGHBOURS east' initiative. I spent my last semester doing a European Studies programme at the University of Latvia. Before that, I spent a month as an intern at the Center for International Studies of the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine, researching self-proclaimed separatist entities in the post-Soviet space. Since my first year of university, I have been engaged in the activities of the IIR Debate Club, becoming a mentor this year. I have also organised several events throughout my alma mater, namely "UN Talks", Model UN simulations and conferences, among others. I believe that the models of communication established through the YEAs' initiative lead to deeper and stronger connections with people, making the promotion of EU values and opportunities much more efficient. That is why I gladly took this opportunity on board last…

My fields of interest are international security, civil society in the EaP region, gender studies and youth.
I'm a global citizen eager to fight for human rights and international peace. I have taken part in seven Model UN and NATO conferences. That is how I realised I want to be someone who will implement changes on a global level. I have taken part in about ten Erasmus+ projects so far and I have even facilitated one. I have also completed nearly 20 local training sessions and projects, meeting people from all over the world. Aside from that, I am a sign language interpreter and I do my best to make people's lives brighter. I believe in a world with no prejudice, hate, and discrimination. I believe we will accomplish all of the 17 SDGs and make our planet a safer place for future generations.

In this role, I have already organized two conferences on the topic of Sustainable Development Goals, three online educational campaigns, and taken part in numerous conferences and projects. I’m a graduate of Belarusian State University, where I studied translation and intercultural communications. However, my work now is only partially connected with these topics – I’m a specialist in the information technologies sphere. My key interests are environmental protection, human rights, education, youth participation and activism. I live by the principles of equality, ethics and respect. As a student and young professional, I faced a number of challenges. Thanks to them, I discovered volunteering, met interesting people, and learnt about and participated in different opportunities. At the same time, I found out that not everyone is aware of their educational/professional opportunities. So I see my mission here as helping young people to get involved in social and cultural life, and educational and professional opportunities, in Belarus and abroad. I want to empower others to develop their own abilities and respect other people’s rights. I believe that we can make the…

These are some of the highlights that have helped me shape myself as a citizen working to make the world better. I'm looking forward to being a part of the YEA team and creating beautiful memories together.
Throughout my academic path and involvement in various social activities, I always prioritized real impact over headlines as well as challenging environments over comforting ones. That was the drive behind my decision to establish and run with two of my friends from Moscow State University of International Relations the "SDG International Youth Forum" - a multinational youth platform dedicated to increasing youth involvement in the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals. In line with my bachelor studies, I spent a year working in an international trade think-tank on issues of green exports and rules of origin. Now, in Sweden, I'm studying how urban development impacts all of us, and what could be the best practices to implement in Moldova.

I’m an International Relations student, model and finalist of the Miss Ukraine 2019 contest. I adore learning foreign languages (English, German and Japanese) and traveling. From my childhood I have been involved in charities - helping poor, sick, orphans, people in need and stray animals. I’m currently working on the charity project 'Included', which aims to help people with special needs and improve the quality of their lives. My team created a card game called 'Thinkers' for blind kids, but those who don’t have vision problems can play it as well. We used recyclable paper to produce boxes for the game. In the near future I plan to use recyclable plastic to make things for blind people.

Also I study foreign languages (English, German, this summer starting Polish).
I am studying international tourism management and the reason I have chosen this majority is my passion for travelling, learning languages and geography. As all my future plans are directly connected with helping people, since 2018 volunteering plays a very large and important role in my life. To make the world a better place to live is the goal I pursue and I strongly believe that I can do it through creating several projects with the EaP.

My involvement in social projects began at the age of 16, when I went on FLEX exchange programme to the United States. Since then, I have been actively involved in various social activities. I got my bachelor's degree in International Relations and European Studies in Warsaw, Poland, with an Erasmus semester in Coventry, United Kingdom. At university I was involved in the Model European Union, and was lucky enough to get accepted to the Strasbourg edition. I have also been an organiser of MEU in Warsaw, and in September 2019 I will chair the simulation. Apart from my deep interest in the EU, I am also willing to work for the benefit of Ukraine. This desire has brought me to internships at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and later - the United Nations where I currently work.
I was born in the Republic of Moldova in 2001, and although I was not raised there, I am still interested in the situation in my second motherland. I am currently studying at a high school of Mathematics and Natural Sciences 'Vassil Drumev', in Veliko Tarnovo (the old capital of Bulgaria). My class focuses on Biology and Chemistry. I have been actively participating in Erasmus+ projects since 2018, and I cannot imagine my life without them. My biggest passion is learning foreign languages - I study Russian, English, French and German but I also have an interest in rare ones like Hungarian. In my opinion, a good ambassador should know as many languages as possible. In one year, when I graduate, I am planning to study International Relations in my country, as I strongly believe that only we - the young generation - are able to change the world, starting from our home.
