This toolkit, which consists of a document with guidelines and a presentation, is designed to introduce young people to the phenomenon of disinformation, the threats it poses, explaining how pupils can protect themselves from it, and providing an opportunity explore the issue with practical, real world examples. It is now available on the EU’s Learning corner in all EU languages.

Teaching young people to navigate the opportunities and dangers of a constantly changing information landscape is one of the great challenges in raising and educating children today. The toolkit gives secondary school teachers the resources to start conversations with their pupils about the consequential topics raised by the threat of bad information, such as health, democracy, or the cultural and legal norms underpinning our societies.
