In the framework of EU-funded EBSOMED project and following the outcomes of the first BSO management academy on Strategic Planning for BSOs, held last year in Lebanon, CAWTAR will organize the BSO Management Academy “Design Thinking for Business Support Organisations (BSOs)” on November 29-30, 2019, in Tunis, Tunisia. More than 30 BSOs Executives from Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Palestine, Jordan and Lebanon will attend the Academy.

Design thinking is a structured methodology used to develop and deliver products, services and experiences that address latent needs. By adopting design thinking principles, BSOs can develop low cost working prototypes for various needs and test them in real time. Design thinking can be applied to complex problems that are difficult to decipher. Using design thinking, BSOs could transform their cultures to become more innovative, which is likely to have a positive impact on their top line and bottom line.

This EBDOMED Academy offers two days of extensive classroom training with the aim to equip participants with the methodology and tools of design thinking and helps them to: utilise these tools effectively to solve wicked/complex problems; perform hands-on activities that facilitate understanding of the design thinking mindset; understand core concepts of design thinking.

Co-financed by the European Commission, EBSOMED is a 4-year project which was officially launched in June 2018 in Tunis. The project aims at boosting the Mediterranean business ecosystem and promoting inclusive economic growth and job creation, by enhancing the private sector environment and namely the Business Support Organisations in the Southern Neighbourhood countries.
