Following the completion of HELP courses in Tunisia and Morocco on the fight against trafficking in human beings, the cross-border launch of the course took place in Tunis on 13-14 February 2020 in collaboration with the Tunisian National Authority in charge of combating trafficking in human beings and the Ministry of Justice of Tunisia. This initiative is supported by the joint programmes of the Council of Europe and the European Union “PAII-T” (Support Programme to Independent Bodies in Tunisia) and “South Programme III”.

This launching event is an opportunity to present the HELP online platform, the courses adapted to the national context of the two countries and the national tutors who have developed them.

These courses are intended specifically for legal professionals wishing to improve their skills on existing international standards and assess their relevance in the legal contexts of Tunisia and Morocco.

The European Programme for Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals (HELP) now open to beneficiaries of the southern Mediterranean region, has developed online courses on combating violence against women and domestic violence, fighting against trafficking in human beings, as well as on refugees and migrant children. These online course are already available in English and Arabic on the HELP online platform.
