TunisiaSafir to train youth on advocacy in favour of Sustainable Development Goals
The EU-funded Safir project will train young people from the Mediterranean region on advocacy in favour of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The training sessions are scheduled from September 2021 to February 2022 and will be carried out by 21 civil society organizations (CSOs), which are Safir partners.
A call for applications has been launched to select 325 young people who will benefit from training sessions on Agenda 2030, advocacy and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The deadline to apply is 31 May.
Later in March 2022, some of the trained youth will be selected to participate in the regional Youth Forum event and, more importantly, in the Arab Forum for Sustainable Development (AFSD).
Safir is an ambitious project supporting youth and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 9 countries across North Africa and the Middle East. Co-funded by the European Union, it aims at creating an enabling environment in favour of youth participation and of the development of entrepreneurial projects with social, cultural and environmental impact. Safir is built around 3 pillars: to provide support to more than 1,000 young project leaders, to develop a regional network of organisations supporting social entrepreneurship, and to accompany the creation of spaces for dialogue between youth and governmental authorities.
