An online webinar was held today for the benefit of Lebanese law enforcement authorities, to help them structure their responses to cybercrime and e-evidence. The event was organised in the framework of EU-funded CyberSouth project.
The activity was organized jointly with the Internal Security Forces in Lebanon and aimed at presenting the international standards on collection and handling of e-evidence as covered by Electronic Evidence Guide and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) developed by international experts under the framework of capacity building projects implemented by the Council of Europe.
CyberSouth is a joint project of the European Union and the Council of Europe. It contributes to the prevention and control of cybercrime and other offences involving electronic evidence in the region of the Southern Neighbourhood, in line with international human rights and rule of law standards and good practices.
