Governance reforms support in Jordan: EU-funded project ends

The closing ceremony of the M&ETA Jo2025 project took place on 14 January 2021, in the presence of high-level representatives of the European Union Delegation and of the Jordanian Government.

The M&ETA Jo2025 project is a technical assistance funded by the EU to support governance reforms in Jordan since 2017. The project worked closely with the Jordanian Government, particularly the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation and the Civil Service Bureau, to improve governmental monitoring, evaluation, delivery and performance management functions.

In her intervention during the online event, H.E. Ambassador Hadjitheodosiou stressed that M&ETA Jo2025 constitutes “a great example of international experts, civil servants and political leadership working together to achieve outcomes and succeed in implementing changes” and added that “the European Union is proud to point out that all the project deliverables were developed by Jordanians and tailored specifically for the context and needs of Jordan.
