The Aqaba Development Company (ADC) in Jordan held a graduation ceremony for the first batch students who completed the YEP MED training course.

The certificates for the training courses in International Trade and Operations were delivered during an event organised by ADC with the participation of the lead partner of the project – Escola Europea – where a total of 12 trainees who attended and successfully passed the training course requirements received their diplomas and certificates of attendance.

Alongside the theoretical contents, the course also included field visits to Aqaba New Port, Aqaba Container Terminal, ASEZ Customs Yard and Aqaba Logistics Village, as part of the training programme.

The YEP MED project is funded by the European Union’s ENI CBC MED Programme. It aims to develop methods of vocational training in the ports and logistics sector to meet and match the labour market skills needs in the Mediterranean port communities, therewith contributing to jobs creation for the youth and women as well as facilitating productive economic growth.
