EuroMeSCo kicks off the second edition of the Joint Study Groups

EuroMeSCo closes a series of five successful meetings labelled “Connect and Kick Off Meetings” with the objective of connecting our research agenda to ongoing policy debates and priorities.

This year’s Joint Study Groups are Anticipating and Mitigating Side-Effects: The Road to a Successful Green Transition in the Euro-Mediterranean Region; Boosting Social Protection Reforms in the MENA Region; Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia: A Comparative Perspective on Maghreb Countries Migration Cooperation with their West African Neighbours;Artificial Intelligence, Law Enforcement and Security Agencies in the MENA Region: Risks and Opportunities; Assessing the Job Creation Potential of Social Economy in the MENA Region.

An overall amount of 50 policymakers, mainly from EU institutions, have participated in these meetings and provided valuable insights. More than 20 experts from different think tanks and research institutes also joined and added their contributions to these meetings.

EuroMeSCo is a network of 104 think tanks and research institutes from 29 different Euro-Mediterranean countries coordinated by the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed) and currently implementing the project “EuroMeSCo: Connecting the dots”, co-funded by the EU and the IEMed.
