The Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association – EMEA and the Euro-Mediterranean Network for Economic Studies – EMNES, in cooperation with the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) and GIZ, organize the First EMNES-UfM Regional Stakeholder Dialogue webinar on “The Blue Transition Scenario 2050 for the Mediterranean: Towards TRIS Development Model” on 8 July from 10:00 to 12:00 CET.

This webinar is motivated by the EMNES study published in April 2020 “EMNES Blue Transition Policy Roadmap”. This Policy Roadmap has been a collective contribution from EMNES researchers during EMNES academies in 2018 and 2019.

The webinar will bring together EMNES researchers, experts, representatives of other regional initiatives and UfM experts in order to reflect and share views on key challenges that need to be tackled in the region in order to advance towards new models of social inclusion, job creation, sustainable development and regional integration within the framework of the Blue Transition Scenario, which offers a possible policy framework for Post Covid-19 recovery.

EMNES is a network of partners and associate research institutions and think tanks working on the Mediterranean region. EMNES aims to provide a renewed vision for socio-economic development in the Mediterranean region, mainly focusing on job creation, social inclusion, and sustainable development, producing books, studies, scientific and policy papers. The EMNES project is co-funded by the Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association – EMEA and the European Commission.
