Given the exceptional circumstances created by the propagation of the COVID-19 virus, and in line with the measures announced by the governments of the Southern Neighbourhood countries, the closing ceremony of the #EU4YOUth #InTheirEyes campaign will be postponed to a later date. The event that will bring together 16 social media influencers and many representatives of the European Union from the Southern and Eastern Neighbourhoods, was scheduled for June in Brussels.
The decision to postpone became self-evident following the recent developments in this unprecedented health crisis. Instructions to limit travel and contact between people have been issued around the world. Compliance with these recommendations is an absolute necessity and the EU Neighbours South project is making everyone's safety its top priority.
Led in partnership with 16 young influencers active on social media, the #EU4YOUth #InTheirEyes campaign has been deployed in eight countries: Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine and Tunisia. Its goal is to highlight the opportunities available to young people in Southern Neighbourhood countries via initiatives led, and projects financed, by the European Union.
