In the framework of the Employers’ Thematic Committees developed by BUSINESSMED within the EU-funded EBSOMED project, the committee “Gender Mainstreaming and Women and Youth Empowerment” held a working session on 20 July 2020 in Tunis.

The meeting reviewed the first deliverable of the instrument, focusing on the necessity to include national and regional priorities by incorporating a gender perspective across different sectors in the target countries.

The action plan as well as the main topics of the survey and the methodological approach have been defined. The final report along with interventions from the committee members and the expert will be presented during a live webinar to be held in December 2020.

Co-financed by the European Commission, EBSOMED is a 4-year project which was officially launched in June 2018 in Tunis. The project aims at boosting the Mediterranean business ecosystem and promoting inclusive economic growth and job creation, by enhancing the private sector environment and namely the Business Support Organisations in the Southern Neighbourhood countries.
