The “European Solidarity Response to Covid-19 in Algeria” Project announced the receipt of the third batch of 1,500 oxygen concentrators, out of a global emergency order of 3,000 units, for the benefit of public health structures.

Two batches of 750 concentrators each were received on 1 and 8 August, respectively, and distributed upon their arrival to various health structures across the country.

The Project “European Solidarity Response to Covid-19 in Algeria” is an integrated initiative financed in full by the European Union for a total of EUR 43 million. The initiative is being organised by UNDP Algeria in partnership with the Ministry of Health.

The aim of the project is to support the national public health system in its fight against the consequences associated with the rapid spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
