As the whole world is adapting to working and studying from home during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ukrainian Research and Academic Network (URAN) has deployed a new online collaboration tool for researchers, students and teachers – eduMEET.

So far, URAN has contacted around 225 people (system administrators, IT specialists, rectors of research and education institutions, and department heads at the Ministry of Education), inviting them to try the tool. In the first five days after eduMEET was launched, almost 30 people used the new service.

eduMEET has been developed with support from the EU project ‘Eastern Partnership Connect’. The project aims to create a regional research and education network in the Eastern partner countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine). The overall objective is to decrease the digital divide, improve connectivity between regions and help local scientists, students and academics to collaborate with their peers from around the world.
