As a graduate of international relations, I have always been eager to join initiatives related to my field of study in order to learn more about real decision-making processes and to contribute to the development of society. The YEAs’ network is one such initiative, aiming to develop youth by allowing us to learn more about how our peers in other EaP countries are working towards developing our respective countries’ relations with the EU. As a returning YEA, I am now more acquainted with the structure and activities of the network, and enthusiastic to contribute to its development in Azerbaijan.
I am a senior student at the Baku Engineering University (previously Qafqaz University). I am engaged in student affairs as a young professional in the National Assembly of Youth Organisations (NAYORA), the umbrella youth organization in Azerbaijan. Moreover, I am currently doing an internship at the United Nations Office of Azerbaijan. I also attended various trainings and events during my student years and am particularly interested in initiatives that integrate economic considerations within diplomacy and international relations. I took part in a winter school on the topic of “Sustainable Development Cooperation – Top Down, Bottom Up” approach. I am interested in gaining insight into the theoretical basis of development cooperation. I was part of the International Legal Research Group on Migration Law as a National Academic Coordinator. I am also part of Model United Nations community, which has showed me the complexity of international relations and politics.
I have recently graduated with an MSc in Development Studies at SOAS, University of London, I also have a background in International Relations (BA), which I previously studied ADA University in Azerbaijan. However, my first international experience was through an exchange programme at the University of Glasgow (the UK). As a Young European Ambassador since 2016, I have done internships at different organizations including the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Brussels, ADA University, Caucasus Research Resource Center Azerbaijan, and International Eurasia Press Fund. I am an undergraduate student in business technologies at Azerbaijani State Oil and Industry University. Alongside my studies, I have also been working in different positions, for instance at the Fairmont Raffles International Hotel, which has given me the opportunity to broaden my professional knowledge in an international environment. I am currently doing my bachelor's degree in International Relations at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Azerbaijan. Getting into that study made me very interested in politics and environmental issues etc. Furthermore, I have worked on the projects of OIC and different NGOs. Taking part in various Erasmus+ projects was a highlight of my activities. Recently, I got an opportunity to participate in a Future Leaders Workshop in Georgia organised by the US Embassy in Azerbaijan. I was born as a member of an ethnic minority group and brought up in a multicultural environment. As a senior student of International Relations at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I have been involved in several local conferences such as MUN, MUSS, MOİC etc. and international projects which had paramount impact on my self-development. I have been working voluntarily at the Karabakh Research Centre as a researcher since March. Additionally, I am a member of Young Peacebuilders Network. My prior fields are local and regional conflicts which are the main obstacles for social and economic development in South Caucasus. I am a senior student at Baku State University majoring in International Relations. I am a socially active person who always try to take advantage of different opportunities. I have participated in a number of conferences, forums and trainings. I was a coordinator of the Debate Club of BSU. I also participated at several Model United Nations (MUN) conferences. I am a final-year student in International Relations at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Azerbaijan. I am a FLEX alumnus, working for more than a year at the Centre for Economic and Social Development (CESD) as a researcher. I hold a BA with honours in International Relations from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Azerbaijan (95% GPA). My academic backround is based on political science. I got my Bachelor's degree at Western University and studied Political Communication for one year at Vidzeme University of Applied Science in Latvia. This summer I graduated with a master's degree in Global Politics and Societal Change at Malmö University in Sweden. During my academic years in Azerbaijan I worked with Dalga (Wave) Youth Movement and was part of many projects in the field of human rights, democracy and other political and social issues. Moving from member to Chairman (2011-2015), I have been representing the movement in local and international events and actively participating in civil society issues advocating for youth empowerment. I also worked with local and international organizations to develop projects about human rights, democracy, gender, and tolerance. For the time being I have been interested in social change and positive impact. This was the primary reason I decided to pursue my education in International Relations and Regional Studies. Throughout my student life I have taken opportunities where I was interacting with people and targeting my goals. AIESEC was one of the organisations that I had an opportunity to join. Together with AIESEC, we implemented several projects within my country. I am third year student in International Studies at ADA University. Since my childhood I was deeply interested in politics and that was the main motivation for me to choose this field of study. I would like to mention that Model United Nations conferences (I have participated in 8 domestic, one international MUN since November 2016) have helped me a lot to improve my debating and decision making skills enabling me to engage more in the activities of such type where Azerbaijani youth is actively participating. I am a student at Baku State University, studying International Relations. I have chosen my major because of my prior interest in the field of politics and diplomacy and my main goal is to contribute to peace and stability all over the world through being a diplomat in the future. I have participated in a number of diplomatic and other events, conferences, workshops, trainings that have led to my personal and social development. Especially, I would like to mention my past Model United Nations, Model U.S. Senate, Model of OIC experiences which have helped me a lot to improve my analytical, diplomatic and decision-making skills. Also, I worked at XV Summer European Youth Olympic Festival as a team member which created an opportunity for me to work with a number of National Olympic Committees from different European countries. I am currently a team leader of AIESEC in Azerbaijan. It is great honour to me to be a Young European Ambassador and work for better future.
I am currently running a student club called "Sustainable Environment". So far I have participated in several trainings, including the 'Basics of Business Journalism and How to prepare and Deliver a Training Session', a mini government conference on the "Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict”, the 2nd School Session of EYP Azerbaijan, a seminar on “EU Energy Policy”, and a research study on “Cognitive Academic Language Taxonomy". I have also interned at the Executive Education department of ADA University and at the Center for Economic and Social Development.
I graduated from Baku Eurasian University, majoring in English language and literature. Right now I am working in a big company as a translator. I have previously taught English as a second language(ESL) in Azerbaijan from 2015-2018 and continue to facilitate an open, consistent, and nurturing learning environment where students are motivated to learn and are driven by their own successes and accomplishments. I am an upbeat, positive person with lots of energy.
I started my education at Baku State University, graduating with a bachelor's degree in International Relations in 2013. Four years later, I obtained an MA in American Studies at the same university. I was selected as `Youth Ambassador' of the National Assembly of Youth Organizations in Azerbaijan in 2018, and am happy to also become a YEA this year. My volunteering experience started in 2009 when I joined `The world of children and young students` NGO as press secretary, becoming the organisation's 'Chairman' in 2014. I started a blog in 2012 to improve myself and help my local community to overcome challenges. Moreover, I worked for three years in the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan. I also arranged a number of international events, including the 13th International Conference on Management Science and Engineering Management in 2016 and the First Azerbaijan-Romania Inter-University Forum in 2017. This year I revived my career in media as a journalist with TREND News Agency.
I'm studying International Relations in Nakhchivan State University. That is why I have always wanted to participate in the work of international organisations. I also attended various trainings and events during my student years like Euro Village 2018, as well as lots of volunteer work.
I did my Bachelor's degree in Linguistics (translation) at the Azerbaijan University of Languages and have been working as a translator since 2011. I am also working as a correspondent/translator at a local news agency. I am an alumna of both AIESEC Azerbaijan and the European Youth Parliament of Azerbaijan. I worked as volunteer in the Netherlands as part of the PCs4Kids project, which aimed to donate computers to orphanages and refugee schools. Moreover, I have taken part in various international and local training programmes and seminars, including the “Youth Employment and Social Inclusion” training in Macedonia, the “Youth Peace Camp” organised by the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, France“, the Conflict School” by PeaCE program and EPF Azerbaijan in Baku/Tbilisi. I was also part of the "Youth Training on Civic Engagement" by UN Association of Georgia and the Young Leaders for a Social and Democratic South Caucasus training in Kvareli, Georgia.

I am a Business Administration student who has a deep interest in topics like social awareness, sustainability and gender equality. I am also a WAGGGS ambassador, and an active scout at ASA. Europe means cooperation, sharing and learning to me, and being a YEA gives amazing opportunities to youth like me who are enthusiastic about having an impact on their country and community. Being a part of this wonderful integration makes me so proud and motivates me to work hard to make the world better a place.
I have been a volunteer in my small hometown "Khachmaz" for the Khachmaz American Corner, where I taught English to 12 pupils. I organized an event with my team members and have been the Foundation Specialist of the "Caucasus Youth Forum on Women's Role in Society" which was held in Baku and involved more than 72 youth, including university and high school students. The event was supported by Indiana University, the U.S. Department of State and the U.S.Embassy in Baku. There were a lot of discussions on the role of women in Azerbaijan, past and present, as well as in other countries, helping to raise awareness about this topic among young people.
